Weaving the intimacy

By tearing apart two paintings of couples in their most intimate moments, Clément Denis has been trying for several years to weave love into eternity. His first set of paintings, called Confusion of feelings, was an homage to Stefan Zweig book, alluding to the numerous ways we can love and be loved : l’amour à deux, l’amour à trois, la passion…

This weaving technique has led him to question our relationship with the multiple facets of our personalities. Like the Rorschach test, Clément invites viewers to question their own ambiguity and desires and interpret each pieces as they see fit.
